Switzerland relaxes travel ban for India, UK
As the UK’s move for India from the red list travel ban to amber comes in force from August 8, Switzerland follows suit for fully vaccinated Indian travellers.
Besides India, fully vaccinated travellers arriving from the UK and Nepal will also no longer be subject to the testing and self-isolation requirements, Switzerland's Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) announced with more details available on SchengenVisaInfo.com.
Under the new rules, anyone entering from the UK, India, and Nepal by car, train, plane or bus is exempt from coronavirus-related restrictions as long as they present a vaccination certificate, a negative Covid-19 test result, or medical proof that indicates that the holder has recovered from the disease.
Vaccinated travellers from the UK, India or any other country that permits entry to Switzerland citizens are considered fully immunised if the vaccination process has been completed by using one of the vaccines that have been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or World Health Organisation (WHO).
