G20 Presidency: India to forge win-win collaborations
G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant said that India's G20 Presidency's focus would be on forging win-win collaborations between developing countries, Global South, and advanced economies.
"Our perspective is that we should have a win-win collaboration between all of us. Developing countries, Global South and advanced economies," Kant said during a G20 Sherpa meeting in Udaipur.
G20 Sherpa Meeting under India's Presidency is currently underway, beginning with an overview of India's issue notes and priorities.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked his US, France and Japanese counterpart for extending their support to India as New Delhi assumed the G20 Presidency on December 1.
PM Modi also thanked other global leaders including French President Emmanuel Macron.
PM Modi said in a tweet, "Thank you, my dear friend @EmmanuelMacron! I look forward to consulting you closely during India's G20 Presidency, as we work to focus the world's attention on the issues that affect humanity as a whole."
