Delhi, Uttarakhand feel tremors from Nepal quake epicentre
An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded in Uttarkhand's Pithoragarh in the early hours of November 9.
This comes after Nepal was struck with an earthquake of 6.3-magnitude at 1.57 am. The tremors were also felt across parts of Delhi-NCR. The earthquake jolts were felt with an intensity of 5 km depth below the ground in Uttarkhand's Pithoragarh.
The earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred on November 9 whose epicentre was Dipayal in Nepal's Doti district and the depth of the earthquake was 10 km below the ground, said National Center for Seismology.
Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in a 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
"Expressing my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in the earthquake, which was centred in the Khaptad region of Far West. Also, I have instructed the relevant agencies to arrange immediate and proper treatment of the injured and the victims in the relief and rescue in the affected areas," tweeted Deuba.
