Singer-songwriter Navin Kundra led a star-studded line-up of Global Indian artists for a musical extravaganza, one of the key highlights of DiwaliFest2020.
The concert kicked off with Kundra’s chart-topping hit ‘Tere Liye’ and was followed up with some of his other popular numbers, concluding with a foot-tapping medley of Bollywood classics from over the decades.
“It is incredible to be able to be together, even if virtually, and celebrate together,” said Kundra, soon after he got festival host Anila Dhami to break into song too.
Rita Morar presented a rendition from the 2001 Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, as she explained how she wanted to spread “good energy and positive vibes” with her Music Heals endeavour.
Rekha Sawhney, Parry Mad and Shin Parwana were among some of the other singers in the line-up, with Ria Meera Munshi of the Ri Ri’s Dance Academy fame performing a mesmerising set of Bollywood dance numbers.
“Music keeps our spirits up,” noted Chirag Rao, as he performed his set for the night.
And, to remind us about keeping our spirits up during times of crisis, there was also the moving performance by Anush and Anya Hydros of ‘Heal the World’.
