ZEE5 Global unveils new true to life fight for justice film with ‘200’

A new Hindi film in the works from ZEE5 Global entitled ‘200’ promises to be a compelling narrative based on a true incident. It chronicles the oppression and injustice suffered by Dalit women and the circumstances which led them to take a drastic step.

Set in the context of atrocities against women, the film captures an incident where 200 women dared to take the law into their own hands and lynched a gangster, robber, serial killer, serial rapist, in open court.

Produced by Yoodlee Films, the film production arm of Saregama, and directed by Sarthak Dasgupta, ‘200’ has an ensemble cast comprising Amol Palekar, Barun Sobti, Rinku Rajguru, Sahil Khattar, Saloni Batra, Indraneil Sengupta and Upendra Limaye.
