Following its theatrical success, the visually stunning Telugu blockbuster 'Gaami' will entertain audiences from this week in not only Telugu but also Tamil and Kannada with its digital premiere on ZEE5 Global.

An emotional tale and a stunning cinematic experience come together seamlessly in debut director Vidyadhar Kagita’s ‘Gaami’. Anchored by Vishwak Sen and Chandini Chowdary’s impressive performances, this anthology explores the triumph of the human spirit, making it a rewarding watch with enough substance. In addition to being a true visual spectacle, the film also manages to beautifully trigger a dialogue about humanity, nature, the need for compassion, and the catastrophic results of mankind’s efforts to alter nature.

Director Vidhyadhar said, “Creating Gaami was a journey filled with numerous challenges, but seeing the film resonate so strongly with audiences makes every hurdle worth it. The success of our theatrical run was incredibly gratifying, and the positive messages I've received since then have been heartwarming.

“It took us more than five years of hard work and dedication to bring this vision to life and I couldn't be happier to now share it with audiences worldwide through its digital premiere in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada only on ZEE5 Global. This film is a labor of our love and sweat, and I'm thrilled to see it reach new heights on a global platform”.

‘Gaami’ chronicles the journey of Shankar (Vishwak Sen), an aghora afflicted by a rare condition that makes it impossible for him to feel the human touch. Driven by a desperate need for cure, he goes on a quest for the elusive Maalipatra, a mystical mushroom blooming once every 36 years atop Dronagiri mountain. Along his path, Shankar encounters Jahnavi (Chandini Chowdary), a microbiologist with a similar mission. Their intertwined destinies lead them through the breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas.

“The love and support we received from fans during its theatrical run were overwhelming, and we hope to receive the same response as we gear up for its digital debut on ZEE5 Global. The visually stunning picturisation of Gaami promises to entertain and captivate audiences across the world and this is just the beginning”.
