There is a growing buzz around Ajay Devgn's ‘Bholaa’. After the success of ‘Drishyam 2’, the actor is back and riding high on his own momentum, which is undoubtedly helping his upcoming action-thriller generate a positive pre-release hype.

Bholaa, a prisoner, is finally going home after 10 years of imprisonment to meet his young daughter. His journey gets hits a snag when he is arrested mid-way.

At first, he is not aware of the grave situation he has got himself into but after a crazy incident takes place, he must travel a pathway full of crazy obstacles with death lurking around every corner. Will he get to meet his daughter?

The official remake of the 2019 Tamil film ‘Kaithi’, ‘Bholaa’ is directed by Ajay Devgn and penned by writer Ankush Singh.

The film's villains are a motley crew who travel and brawl courageously and also have some controversial dress codes. Devgn desired a lethal group and went about picking them methodically. Biker gangs use fashionable hoods, face masks, and helmets. Others are dressed more traditionally in South Asian attire.

The character of ‘Bholaa’ is not easily frightened since he understands how to play the game of death and is prepared for any lethal encounter.

When asked how he persuaded stylist Radhika Mehra to dress his villains distinctly and differently, Devgn said: “I wanted the menace to travel deep. The objective was to carefully construct different identities for the various criminals who show up in ‘Bholaa’s’ path.

Film Review: Drishyam 2 (Sight/Visual)

“In the world of ‘Bholaa’, the only one who is crazier than the villains is Bholaa himself.”

While the villains are all lethal and pose life-threatening challenges, Devgn’s Bholaa portrays a hero who will shake each of the villains to their core.

Also starring Tabu and Amala Paul, the film releases in cinemas on March 30 and ahead of that, the film’s peppy track 'Paan Dukaniya' has been making waves.

The song features Deepak Dobriyal and in the video, a woman can be seen teasing men around her on the peppy beats and the face of the actor is not revealed.

The emotional song 'Aadha Main Aadhi Vo' was released earlier, which showcased the heart-rending relationship between Ajay and his 10-year-old daughter in the movie. Speaking of how the emotional journey of this one song alone left him tinged with sadness, Devgn said: "There is no bond more sacred than one that is between a parent and a child.

“And, the entire journey of Bholaa has just one meaning, one quest. It is his desire to get united with the daughter who has been separated from him at her birth because of circumstances. Not knowing how he will tackle the actual meeting between him and his child, this man (Bholaa) has gone through a decade of the most trying circumstances and held himself from 'breaking' because he knows at the end of it, he will get a chance to meet his child.
