Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, who has been a vocal campaigner on mental health issues, has curated a wellness guide for people struggling during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Padukone posted the guide on social media and urged people not to hesitate to seek support when going through emotional turmoil.
“Caring for our mental health and seeking support when we are feeling overwhelmed has always been important. These aspects have become even more critical at a time when the pandemic has affected millions, globally,” she says.
Padukone's mental wellness guide consists of tips to address the mental health, a list of daily routine activities for taking care of the mind, and other important tips to cope with stress and anxiety.
The 34-year-old actress behind box-office hits such as 'Padmaavat' and Hollywood thriller 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage' started voicing her concerns on the importance of mental health through her The Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF) nearly five years ago.
Through the foundation, the actor launched an India-wide awareness as well as de-stigmatisation campaigns.
Her aim is to remove the taboo around mental health discussions among Indians by organising training sessions, research and lecture series that feature well-known thinkers and high achievers.
