In a historic event, President of India Droupadi Murmu visited Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) – a world famous spiritual sanctuary envisioned by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji – this week.
Also in attendance on this momentous occasion were the Governor of Gujarat, Shri Acharya Devvrat and Minister of State, Gujarat, Shri Jagdish Panchal.
Trustees of the Mission received the President and dignitaries and escorted them to the international headquarters of the Mission. This was a landmark visit, as it's the first time ever that any President of India has visited the Dharampur Taluka of Southern Gujarat post-independence.
At Raj Sabhagruh, an enthusiastic gathering greeted President Murmu, who was accorded a traditional welcome by local tribals of the region. Commemorating this occasion, various special launches were made.
“Indeed, this event is a moment of pride for Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur as Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu graciously accepted the invitation of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji to visit the Ashram. The visit reflects her high regard for the role of spirituality, culture and social service in shaping India’s Amrit Kaal,” SRMD said in a statement.

One of his iconic teachings is: “Seek nothing else. Just find one Enlightened Being, surrender all your feelings at His Lotus Feet and obey Him. If you still do not attain liberation, then take it from me.”
