British Hindu diaspora in Manchester is gearing up for the highly anticipated GIEO Gita Mahotsav UK, a three-day cultural event happening across the city this weekend.

GIEO GITA UK (Global Inspiration Enlightenment Organisation of the Bhagavad Gita) is an extension of the International GIEO GITA organisation based in India. The event has been endorsed by several diaspora organisations across the city and UK including BAPS, HSS, Indian Association Manchester, INSIGHT UK, Isha Foundation and ISKCON.

By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, GIEO GITA UK aims to create and promote religious unity, universal brotherhood, and the welfare of all, as well as an understanding and appreciation of the Bhagavad Gita's wisdom as a means to foster harmony among different religious communities.

Through various activities such as seminars, workshops, and cultural events, GIEO GITA UK endeavours to spread the message of peace, compassion, and spiritual enlightenment embodied in the Bhagavad Gita. By emphasising the common values shared by humanity, regardless of cultural or religious differences, the event strives to build bridges of understanding and cooperation among people worldwide.
