"AIM Literary Festival 2023 has been a journey of exploration, enlightenment, and connection. We are immensely thankful to everyone who played a role in making this celebration of literature a resounding success," says Monica Sood, co-curator of the Author In Me (AIM) Literary Festival.

The 2023 edition of the festival concluded on November 19 with an overwhelming celebration of literature, fostering inspiration and building a vibrant community of literary enthusiasts. The festival brought together renowned authors, passionate readers, and literary connoisseurs from around the globe.

Ekta Bajaj, author and co-curator of the festival, shared: "We are thrilled with the overwhelming success of AIM Literary Festival 2023 and the StoryGarden Bookshelf. The diverse perspectives, creative energy, and intellectual depth brought to the forefront during the event truly reflected the essence of literature as a unifying force."

Throughout the event, attendees were treated to a rich tapestry of literary discussions, thought-provoking panels, and engaging workshops, creating an immersive experience celebrating the literary world's diverse facets. From exploring the power of storytelling to delving into the nuances of language and culture, AIM Literary Festival 2023 was a melting pot of ideas, creativity, and intellectual exchange.

Author In Me Literary Fest: Empowering under-represented voices

Some of the key highlights of this year’s festival of books and reading include:

  • Distinguished Speakers and Guests: The festival hosted a stellar line-up of acclaimed authors like Shrabani Basu, Kavitha Rao, Sarah Mussi and Alan Durant, poets like Joseph Coelho, and literary figures like Rani Singh and Sudha Bhuchar, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with and gain insights from some of the brightest minds in the literary realm.  Additionally, distinguished guests, Padma Bhushan recipient Lord Meghnad Desai and Sanskrit scholar Dr. M.N. Nandakumar shared their inspirations and insights, enriching the experience for participants.

  • Young Voices - A two-hour segment was dedicated to fostering a love for reading and writing among children. This session saw the launch of four books by young authors ages 8-11 years, published by Author In Me. Teen authors Aanya Arora, Deeva Karnani Shah, Verushka Anand, and Suhana Joshi shared their writing journeys and absorbed valuable insights from bestselling children’s authors during a knowledge exchange panel discussion.

  • Interactive Workshops: The festival offered a variety of hands-on workshops aimed at enhancing literary skills conducted by bestselling author, Alice Hemming, children’s author, Kate Poels and marketing mentor, Kelly Weekes.

  • Community Building: AIM Literary Festival 2023 aimed not only to inspire but also to foster a sense of community among literature enthusiasts. Attendees had the chance to connect, share ideas, and build lasting relationships through initiatives like ‘Happy Tree’ and StoryGarden Bookshelf, which showcased 160 books from diverse authors.
