A super healthy edamame guacamole to keep you going between meals

Sujata Din

On your health journey do you find thinking of appropriate snacks challenging? You want it to be something quick and easy to make, tasty and healthy at the same time. Today I’m sharing an edamame guacamole recipe that ticks all the boxes! The recipe is quick to make, tastes delicious and is totally guilt free. In fact, it’s actually a great source of protein.

Edamame is a young soybean which can be either eaten on it’s own or combined to make a meal and is a great source of protein, especially for vegetarians or vegans.

Another ingredient that is healthy in this recipe is avocado. This superfood has slightly more potassium than bananas, a fruit known for being potassium rich.  It’s also your source of healthy fats. Often people try to avoid or go low fat, as they think it’s bad for them or makes them fat. However, we do need fat in our diet and these ‘healthy fats’ are heart healthy as have monounsaturated fatty acids. Plus, they will help to keep you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore support weight loss.

With all these benefits in mind, this is the perfect healthy snack to keep you going between meals! The taste is delicious and can be seasoned to taste and the texture will be a lovely creamy mix. Give the recipe a try and when eating it, remember to have it with lots of vegetable sticks and a few tortilla chips.

If you like guacamole you will definitely want to try this recipe.  Enjoy this simple yet satisfying homemade snack!
