The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selakovic, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat during his visit to Delhi, India.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar welcomed his Serbian counterpart Nikola Selakovic here on September 19.
"Welcome FM of Serbia Nikola Selakovic to India. Taking a strong, traditional friendship forward," Jaishankar tweeted. Selakovic arrived in New Delhi on a two-day visit.
Nikola Selakovic met with Indian External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar and held fruitful discussions. Both ministers agreed to take forward economic cooperation.
"Warm and fruitful discussions with Serbian FM Nikola Selakovic. Reaffirmed our strong political bonds and independent stance in global politics. Agreed to take forward our long-standing cooperation, especially on the economic side," Jaishankar had tweeted.
Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, had earlier said in a tweet, "Selakovic is scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today at Hyderabad House. Both leaders will focus on enhancing bilateral relations.
On his two-day India visit, he is also scheduled to meet Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi and Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.
