India has declared one-day mourning on September 11 on the passing away of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth II, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, passed away on September 8.
"As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the Government of India has decided that there will be one day of State Mourning on September 11th throughout India," reads a statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On the day of Mourning, the statement mentions that the National Flag will be flown at half-mast throughout India on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day.
Meanwhile, the Union Jack flag at the British High Commission in New Delhi was flown at half-mast on September 9 following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.
"Her Majesty lived a life of service, of constancy which inspired and continues to inspire deep respect and affection. On this sad day I remember what She gave to my country and to so many people around the world," British High Commissioner to Alex Ellis tweeted.
The UK lawmakers are expected to swear an oath of loyalty to King Charles III on September 10, UK newspaper The Independent reported, citing the UK House of Commons authorities.
