Good fortune: PM Modi on invitation to Lord Ram idol consecration

Shortly after the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust extended an invitation to Indian PM Narendra Modi, requesting him to place the idol of Lord Ram in the Garbhagriha of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Prime Minister expressed that he considers it a great privilege to witness this historic occasion in his lifetime.

Acharya Satyendra Das said, "PM Modi has announced that he will come to Ayodhya and participate in the ceremony on January 22nd. The letter was sent by the Trust to PM Modi and he has accepted the invitation."

He said, "From January 15 to 24, there will be an 'Anushthan'

The consecration ceremony is scheduled for January 22nd, and it was finalized after a meeting between the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi will visit Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, to perform Ram Lalla's pran pratishtha.

"The consecration of the new idol of Ramlala in Ram temple in Ayodhya will take place on 22 January 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will himself be present on this occasion. 4,000 saints, Mahatmas of the country and 2,500 eminent personalities of the society will witness this historic occasion," General Secretary of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust Champat Rai posted on X.

He further said that members of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and formally invited the PM to visit Ayodhya.

"After meeting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Pujya Swami Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Ji Maharaj of Pejawar Math, Udupi, Pujya Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj, Chairman of the Temple Construction Committee Shri Nripendra Mishra Ji and I myself presented him a formal invitation letter to visit Ayodhya, which was He has given his approval for this," his post read.

It is pertinent to note that the Supreme Court's verdict in 2019 on the Ayodhya dispute paved the way for the construction of a grand Ram temple. Following the apex court verdict, the centre set up the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' Trust to take all decisions regarding the construction of a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The construction of the temple has been progressing at a steady pace under the supervision of the Trust. The idol of Ram Lalla will be in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.

PM Modi also took to social media platform X, to share that he has been invited to the ceremony.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is being built with special bricks named after Ram.

These bricks are manufactured using a special formula that enhances their strength and durability compared to standard bricks. Additionally, they bear the inscription "Shri Ram 2023" to mark the year of the temple's construction.

Chairman of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Construction Committee Nripendra Misrahad said that pilgrims will be able to have a glimpse of the idol of Lord Ram in his child form at the temple in Ayodhya definitely before January 26 and the first phase of construction of the grand temple will be completed by December this year.

"It is safe to announce that the pilgrims would be able to have a glimpse of Lord Ram in his child form definitely before January 26, 2024," Misra said.

Misra said that 70,000-75,000 people can have easy darshan if the temple is open for 12 hours. He said money for temple construction is coming from the people and there is no government involvement and about Rs 3,500 crore has been collected through donations.
