Indian tennis legend Leander Paes celebrated his induction into the prestigious International Tennis Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 at the annual Wimbledon celebration hosted by the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences, and St. James’ Court A Taj Hotel in London over the weekend.

Paes, an 18-time Grand Slam winner, shared his journey and passion for the sport of tennis – now leading the charge for India in the sport’s Hall of Fame. Paes boasts an illustrious career spanning over three decades, with Grand Slam titles in doubles and mixed doubles, a Wimbledon victory, a Bronze medal from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s high civilian awards.

He said: “My most important dream was to represent India in the Olympics and to prove that we Indians can be Olympic champions.
