In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Yash Chopra's ‘Veer-Zaara’ – starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta – is making a grand return to the big screen for audiences around the world.
“Get ready to experience the magic once more of this timeless romance, starting November 7 in international markets,” Yash Raj Films (YRF) said in a statement.

This special re-release features a brand-new addition: the enchanting song Yeh Hum Aa Gaye Hai Kahaan, which appears for the first time on the big screen. Overseas audiences will get a chance to immerse themselves once again in the timeless tale of Veer and Zaara – an epic love legend that has captured hearts across the globe and transcended borders and to revisit a story that reminds us that love knows no boundaries.
“Don’t miss out to experience once more this unforgettable journey of Veer and Zaara,” YRF added.
The box-office smash hit is directed by the legendary Yash Chopra and produced by him and his son Aditya Chopra – who also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. ‘Veer-Zaara’ also stars Kirron Kher, Divya Dutta, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher, besides being packed with special appearances by Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Manoj Bajpai. The lilting music, which also topped the charts, is based on classic numbers by the late Madan Mohan and lyrics by Javed Akhtar.

It has already been making waves across Indian box-offices since its re-release a few months ago and will now reach out to global audiences. Originally released in November 2004 over Diwali, the film went on to become the highest grossing film of the year at the box-office at the time. It also bagged a string of awards, including for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor, and was lauded for its underlying message of peace and harmony between India and Pakistan.
It has since been dubbed as one of greatest Bollywood romances to be produced by YRF.
