Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi kick off festivities with thrilling ‘Merry Christmas’ trailer

Actors Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi kicked off the festive season with the trailer of their exciting new thriller 'Merry Christmas', set for cinemas in the New Year. They offered an insight into what looks like an intriguing tale indeed.

Going by the trailer, director Sriram Raghavan has put his signature spin to the traditional structure of romance, as suspense, seduction and surprise await the audience. A simple chance meeting becomes a full-blown obsession between two strangers which goes on to have increasingly dangerous consequences.

Sethupathi and Kaif's on-screen chemistry is refreshing and all set to impress the audience.

The trailer, trending on social media, is being showered with praise not only by fans but also Kaif’s husband Vicky Kaushal.

‘Merry Christmas’ is shot in two languages, with different supporting actors. The Hindi version also features Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand.

On the other hand, Tamil version stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles.

The film also introduces Pari, a child actor, and Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte are seen in exciting cameos.

Apte said: “The wait is almost over! Merry Christmas is making your winter merrier on January 12, 2024.”

'Merry Christmas' is slated to release in theatres on 12 January 2024. It is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Sanjay Routray, Jaya Taurani and Kewal Garg. The film’s songs have been composed by Pritam and penned by Varun Grover.

The film has been postponed a few times to avoid a clash with Ranbir Kapoor's ‘Animal’, which hits theatres on December 1 and has proved a box-office hit.
