With the summer finally making an appearance, a Bank Holiday just around the corner and lockdown restrictions easing, it’s definitely time to fire up the “barbie”. We Brits love wheeling out the barbeque (BBQ) and going alfresco; so much so, the UK is one of Europe's leading BBQ nations, hosting over 135 million BBQs per year (post Covid-19).
One of the easiest and tastiest ways to spice up chicken breasts, thighs or drumsticks is the addition of spices. The combination of spices gives a sizzling, smoky, savoury flavour. Using yogurt as a marinade breaks down meat protein, which ensures the chicken breasts are flavourful, moist and tender. The yogurt-marinated chicken can be grilled, baked, pan cooked or thrown on the BBQ.
Our special tip: To add an extra crunch, sprinkle chopped salted pistachios just before cooking.
