Diaspora celebrates Modi 3.0 victory in London with fanfare

The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) UK organised a grand celebration in London to mark the historic victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing a third consecutive term in India, with 293 of the 543 parliamentary seats.

The vibrant event last weekend captured the joy and excitement of the Indian diaspora, particularly the enthusiastic supporters of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the UK. Over 400 enthusiastic supporters gathered at the Indian Gymkhana to celebrate the BJP’s decisive victory under Prime Minister Modi's leadership.

The festivities kicked off with an exhilarating car rally, featuring more than 100 cars arriving in style at the Indian Gymkhana. The atmosphere was electric, with dhol beats and a live DJ setting the lively tone. Attendees danced, chanted slogans like "Modi Modi" and "Jai Shri Ram," and held posters celebrating PM Modi's third consecutive term.

The celebrations welcomed former women’s minister Smriti Irani (pictured) and Vijay Chauthaiwale, BJP In-charge of Foreign Affairs.

“Their participation underscored the significant support for BJP and PM Modi among the diaspora, adding a layer of importance and excitement to the event,” OFBJP said in a statement.

Irani delivered a powerful speech, emphasising the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s third consecutive victory. She highlighted his hard work and dedication driving Bharat towards a new dimension and acknowledged the ongoing support from the diaspora in this transformative journey.

Chauthaiwale, in his address, noted that India-UK ties have strengthened since the BJP came to power and expressed optimism about further enhancing this relationship in the coming years also acknowledged the hard work of OBBJP UK karyakartas.

Among others in attendance included BJP National Spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan, Shishir Bajoria, Davendra Nim (MLA Saharnpur UP), Dheerendra Singh (MLA Jewar UP), Shri Abhimanyu Pratap Singh.

Kuldeep Shekhawat, President of OFBJP UK, and Suresh Mangalgiri, General Secretary of OFBJP UK, welcomed the guests with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
