Secrets of Success according to ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ ring out in UK Parliament

Dhruv Chhatralia BEM gave a historic 425th spiritual talk at the House of Commons last week entitled ‘The Secrets of Success in Career Management according to the Hanuman Chalisa’. The regular event in the parliamentary calendar was hosted by Padma Shri Bob Blackman MP and brought together Steve Tuckwell MP, the heads of over 30 UK-wide Indian diaspora organisations, members, community leaders from eight different religious backgrounds and other dignitaries among the over 170 attendees.

The evening began with an inspirational speech by Riddhi Vyas reflecting upon her memories of this epic 13-year journey with the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in Parliament. Tuckwell then spoke about the importance of preserving rich spiritual traditions in society and about the great contributions of the Indian community to the UK economy, politics and society.

Blackman, chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Hindus, was recognised for not only bringing the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ to the Commons but also the ‘Shree Suktam’, ‘Ramayana’, ‘Shrimad Bhagavat’, ‘Bhagavad Gita’ and ‘Devi Mahatmaya’. He highlighted the historical significance of Chhatralia’s recitals and the importance of the Hindu community uniting to protect, preserve and promote values that have been passed on from generation to generation.

This was followed by a powerful recital of the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ was joined by the members of the audience. Chhatralia then delved into the ‘Secrets of Success of Career Management’ that we can learn about through this holy text. He explained how the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ describes the endless glories, valour and greatness of managerial skills and the most successful manager the world has ever known: Shree Hanuman Ji. He elaborated how the sacred verses of the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ contain the secrets to success in life that bestow intelligence, strength and virtue to all those who contemplate and meditate upon it.

He closed the event with the words: "I bow down to Shree Hanuman Ji who has showered us with His divine blessings throughout this epic journey of 425 talks where we have made history many times over, for giving me the wisdom to inspire our devotees on the auspicious occasion of the 13 birthday of our organisation, to my parents whose upbringing and sacrifices have made me everything I am today, and to each of you for your whole-hearted support, devotion and belief towards the cause of our organisation over these 425 talks in 13 years.

Chhatralia also presented the dignitaries with a copy of the book ‘Yoga and Ayurveda’ by Padma Bhushan Dr David Frawley (Vamadeva Shastri).
